BY SHAMSHER KHAN FROM BIHAR

Akhilesh Yadav’s rallies in Bihar have brought a dramatic shift in the tone and tempo of the state’s election season. With packed grounds, long queues of young supporters, and a surge of slogans for change, the Samajwadi Party chief has emerged as a powerful voice backing the Grand Alliance and its chief ministerial face, Tejashwi Yadav. His speeches, sharp, rhythmic, and emotionally charged, have set the narrative for an election that now feels deeply personal for Bihar’s youth and working class.

Addressing enthusiastic crowds across districts, Akhilesh positioned the election not just as a routine political battle, but as a decisive turning point in Bihar’s journey. He accused the BJP of failing the young generation, allowing unemployment to deepen and forcing lakhs of talented Bihari youth to migrate to other states in search of work. Inflation, he said, has become a burden on ordinary families, while promises of development have remained slogans instead of becoming real opportunities. Against this backdrop, he painted the opposition alliance as the only credible hope for a new beginning.

In his fiery speeches, Akhilesh blended political messaging with poetic punches, echoing the mood of the people. “There is a wave of change in Bihar,” he declared. “A season of jobs is coming. The BJP is now on its way out. The Grand Alliance will win this time.” His words found instant connection with a restless young audience eager for employment and dignity. In another powerful remark directed at BJP supporters, he said: “This is Bihar, a land where social justice has deep roots. Twenty years of your rule is enough. This time defeat awaits you, because the coming government will be Tejashwi’s.”

The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also highlighted Tejashwi Yadav’s promises, particularly job creation and social support schemes, calling them realistic and necessary for Bihar’s future. According to Akhilesh, this election is about returning respect to the labour class, empowering students, and giving farmers fair value and stability. He argued that Bihar deserves the energy and vision of a young leadership committed to inclusive progress.

What makes Akhilesh’s rallies stand out is his ability to connect the struggles of Bihar’s people with a broader national debate on governance and development. He isn’t merely criticizing the ruling party, he is offering Bihar a different path, anchored in welfare, youth empowerment, and economic opportunity. The crowds, waving flags and cheering loudly, signal that his message is resonating on the ground.

While political analysts will debate the impact of these rallies on seat numbers, one truth is already clear: Akhilesh Yadav has infused the Bihar campaign with renewed spirit and urgency. His presence has unified the Grand Alliance narrative, strengthened Tejashwi Yadav’s positioning, and sparked a conversation that extends beyond party lines, a conversation about jobs, fairness, and the future Bihar deserves. If this momentum continues, the “wave of change” he speaks of may well reshape the state’s political landscape, and announce a new chapter in Bihar’s leadership.
