The Saudi royal family has a long history of charitable work, inspired by Islamic values that emphasize compassion, charity (zakat), and helping those in need. Past kings, including King Abdulaziz, the founder of modern Saudi Arabia, were known for their modesty and dedication to uplifting their people. King Faisal, for example, was deeply committed to improving education and healthcare in the Kingdom, while King Abdullah focused on supporting global humanitarian efforts, establishing the King Abdullah Humanitarian Foundation.
King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has carried this legacy forward with dignity and dedication. Known for his humility, King Salman has been actively involved in charity work for decades, even before ascending the throne. He founded the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in 2015, which has since provided aid to millions of people in need across the globe, including war-torn regions such as Yemen, Syria, and Palestine.
