In a heartfelt gesture, Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday visited Farrukhabad to pay his respects to the late Chhote Singh Yadav, a veteran leader known for his immense contribution to the cooperative movement and his pivotal role in the founding of the Samajwadi Party.
Late Chhote Singh Yadav, who passed away recently, was a respected political figure, having served as both a Member of Parliament and a Member of the Legislative Assembly. His political journey was rooted in grassroots activism and social justice, and he was widely regarded as a voice of the common people. As one of the founding members of the Samajwadi Party, he played a crucial role in shaping its ideology and strengthening the cooperative movement in Uttar Pradesh.
Akhilesh Yadav visited his residence in Farrukhabad and offered floral tributes at the late leader’s portrait. He met with the bereaved family members, offering words of comfort and support during their time of grief. Speaking to the media, Yadav said that Chhote Singh Yadav’s contribution to society and the party will always be remembered with great respect.
He also added that his passing is an irreparable loss to the Samajwadi movement and to those who believed in social equality and cooperative development. Several party workers and local leaders were also present during the visit, reflecting the deep admiration and respect the late leader commanded within the party and the community.
