In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at transforming Kuwait into a regional tourism powerhouse, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi officially launched the “Visit Kuwait” platform, a unified digital gateway designed to enhance the nation’s tourism experience and global visibility. The newly unveiled platform serves as a comprehensive national portal, allowing visitors to apply for tourist visas, explore cultural, artistic, and entertainment events, and access detailed schedules and locations through an interactive and user-friendly interface.
This digital advancement reflects Kuwait’s growing commitment to embracing technology as a key driver of economic and social progress. Minister Al-Mutairi described the platform’s launch as “a major step toward strengthening Kuwait’s position on the regional tourism map.” He emphasized that Kuwait’s cultural heritage, artistic vitality, and unique geographical charm make it fully capable of becoming a standout destination in the Gulf region. The ministry, he affirmed, remains dedicated to continuing efforts that will elevate Kuwait’s global tourism image.
Speaking to KUNA, Al-Mutairi explained that the Visit Kuwait portal represents a qualitative leap in digital tourism communication, providing users with a smart interactive map, exclusive travel offers, and tools to design complete itineraries. The system also delivers real-time updates, personalized notifications, and bilingual support in Arabic and English, projecting Kuwait’s image as a modern, welcoming, and connected nation. He further noted that the initiative aligns with the Ministry of Information’s strategic vision to position Kuwait as both a leading tourist destination and a vibrant cultural hub.
By consolidating all promotional efforts under a unified national platform, the ministry aims to strengthen coordination, efficiency, and transparency across the tourism ecosystem. The minister underscored that this digital transformation directly supports the goals of Kuwait Vision 2035, which focuses on economic diversification, innovation, and revitalization of the national economy.
Al-Mutairi added that Visit Kuwait will serve as the exclusive official portal for local and international companies seeking licenses to organize cultural, tourism, and entertainment events in the country. He concluded that this initiative is not merely a technological milestone but a strategic framework for fostering public-private collaboration and regulating the events sector, a decisive step toward realizing the political leadership’s vision of a dynamic, prosperous, and globally connected Kuwait.
