In a significant gesture of courtesy and constitutional decorum, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called on Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan recently. The meeting, which took place in the stately halls of the President’s official residence, underscored the strong and respectful ties between the state leadership and the nation’s highest constitutional authority.
The President’s Secretariat confirmed the meeting in an official post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), stating: “Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.” A photograph of the interaction was also shared, showing the two leaders in a cordial exchange.
Earlier in the day, CM Adityanath conducted his routine “Janata Darshan” at Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur, where he attentively heard public grievances and issued immediate instructions for redressal. Known for his direct engagement with the public, the Chief Minister continues to emphasize transparency, accountability, and swift governance.
The visit to the Rashtrapati Bhavan also comes at a time when Uttar Pradesh has undertaken large-scale administrative reforms. Under his leadership, the state has recruited over 2.16 lakh police personnel, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently distributing appointment letters to over 60,000 new constables in Lucknow.
Yogi Adityanath’s courtesy meeting with the President not only reflects procedural decorum but also reinforces the collaborative spirit between state and central institutions—a hallmark of India’s robust democratic framework.
