In what should have been a grand spiritual spectacle showcasing India’s heritage and faith, the upcoming Mahakumbh in Prayagraj has become a glaring symbol of the BJP government’s incompetence and corruption. Instead of divine devotion, headlines are now filled with images of broken roads, collapsed bridges, and leaking infrastructure barely months after their construction, and all at the cost of thousands of crores.
Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav, through a powerful post on X (formerly Twitter), has ripped apart the facade of development that the BJP tries so hard to maintain. Calling it the “BJP Corruption Chronology”, Yadav laid bare a chilling reality where sacred events are hijacked for personal gain. According to him, corruption flows like a well-oiled machine: primary contracts are handed over for commissions, followed by subcontracts given to cronies in exchange for bribes. The entire ecosystem from bureaucrats to BJP MPs and MLAs—is allegedly involved in turning public funds into private fortunes.

This isn’t just a case of bad roads or weak cement; it is the crumbling of faith in governance. Roads cave in after light rains, water tanks fall like cardboard, and bridges threaten lives. Is this the infrastructure meant to serve millions of pilgrims from around the world? The Mahakumbh, meant to be a celebration of unity and purity, is now a case study in how unchecked power breeds unholy acts. This isn’t governance it’s a spiritual betrayal.
Even beyond Prayagraj, the BJP continues to suppress voices that promote knowledge and truth. In Saharanpur, an FIR was filed against a local Samajwadi Party leader, Farhad Alam Gada, for teaching “A for Akhilesh”, “B for Babasaheb”, “D for Dimple”, and “M for Mulayam Singh Yadav” to children at a “PDA Pathshala”. The government that allows hate speeches and fake degrees is now afraid of alphabets that inspire children toward progressive ideals?
Akhilesh Yadav, responding sharply, stated, “Even the British didn’t file FIRs for studying. The anti-education face of the BJP stands exposed. Now the BJP will be gone forever.” And rightly so. From looting public money in the name of faith to silencing voices of change and education, the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh has shown its true colours. It’s time for a course correction. The people deserve leaders who uphold values, not exploit them. And under Akhilesh Yadav’s leadership, the Samajwadi Party continues to be the torchbearer of truth, transparency, and transformation.
