In Russia, in Moscow and the Moscow region, a unique , International Falconry Club named after St. Tryphon was established. The main goal of the International Falconry Club is to promote the expensive entertainment of Russian aristocrats, falconry, as well as to revive the Russian traditions of royal falconry and introduce these ancient traditions to foreign tourists. Oleg Ivanov, a well-known Russian entrepreneur and art promoter, was elected as the club’s president.
As part of the implementation of the promotion strategy of the St. Tryphon International Falconry Club, Oleg Ivanov invited Dr. Sergei Dvorianov, Vice President of the BRICS Culture Media Forum, to visit the club and give a vivid historical presentation of the club’s goals, objectives, and activities. It is no secret that falconry is particularly popular in the Middle East. Russia and the Arab world are experiencing a new Renaissance of cultural, diplomatic, economic, and political cooperation.
During his historic visit to the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi and the Saudi capital of Riyadh, Russian President Vladimir Putin presented the leaders of these two Arab states with unique white Kamchatka falcons. According to Dr. Sergey Dvoryanov, a philosopher and publicist, and editor of “The Times of Russia”, the creation of the International Falconry Club in the Moscow region could become an additional dynamic factor in the rapprochement between Russia and the Arab world, and would have a positive impact on the cultural image of a country with such a rich history as Russia.
This is why the BRICS Culture Media Forum has offered its strategic partnership to the club, which could lead to significant achievements for both parties. One of the activities of the falconry club will be the creation of a selective falconry factory for rare breeds of falcons, especially attracting public attention and the efforts of environmental activists to preserve the populations of those falcons in Russia that are listed in the Red Book, namely the gyrfalcons, sapanes, and balobans. This unique mission of the club will be carried out, among other things, through comprehensive support for private nurseries.
The International Falconry Club named after St. Tryphon of the BCMF’s support plans to become a driver for attracting investments to Russia in the field of tourism and implementing a project to create a unique natural park with the construction of medieval authentic palaces of Russian princes and tsars in the Moscow region. In the near future, a hunting estate is planned to be built in the Moscow region in a protected area of 15,000 hectares. According to Oleg Ivanov, “the Estate will soon become an elite vacation spot for the Arab world’s establishment and a global international networking platform. Just as falcons soar high in the sky, our dreams will rise to the throne of God.”
