Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during his recent visit to Ghaziabad, proudly stated that the city has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past eight years. He credited this change to the inspiration and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing the media at the Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan in Indirapuram, the Chief Minister said that Ghaziabad has emerged as a model of development, cleanliness, and order. Its perception has shifted from a regular city to a leading name among the world’s 50 cleanest cities, and it now stands as the first in Uttar Pradesh in terms of cleanliness. On this occasion, he flagged off the first group of pilgrims going to Kailash Mansarovar and handed them travel kits.

He announced that the state government would provide ₹1 lakh in assistance to each returning pilgrim from Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi extended his best wishes to all pilgrims for a safe and spiritually fulfilling journey. He emphasized that the Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan was established to serve these pilgrims. More than 200 devotees gathered at the Bhawan to begin their sacred journey. Yogi Adityanath instructed the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) and the Municipal Corporation to prepare proposals allowing the public to utilize Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan, Uttarakhand Bhawan, and Purvanchal Bhawan for various purposes.

The Chief Minister’s day began with his participation in the Golden Jubilee celebration of Central Electronics Limited (CEL), a once loss-making PSU that has now become a profitable Mini-Ratna enterprise, avoiding disinvestment. Alongside Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, he laid the foundation stone of a green data center and held a detailed review meeting with Ghaziabad’s public representatives to discuss new developmental initiatives.

He highlighted how unimaginable it was ten years ago that Ghaziabad would be connected through a 12-lane greenfield expressway or would become the first city in India with rapid rail connectivity. Today, Ghaziabad boasts its own metro, an airport, and is beginning a new phase of expansion as Greater Ghaziabad. He discussed the inclusion of Khoda, Loni, and Muradnagar into Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam to form a Greater Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation and directed the preparation of a comprehensive plan.

CM Yogi also announced the establishment of an Integrated Office Complex and Police Commissionerate Headquarters to centralize administrative and law enforcement services. He emphasized continuing the development of the Dugdheshwarnath Temple Corridor and related infrastructure. Referring to Rajnagar Extension, where land allocated long ago for a BCCI stadium remained underutilized, the CM redirected GDA to take over the project and construct and manage the stadium. He praised the increase in greenery across the city, replacing garbage mounds with Miyawaki and city forests.

He pledged further green initiatives and referred to the Hindon River as a historical symbol of Ghaziabad. The river’s revival, natural purification, and afforestation under the “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign are proceeding at a fast pace. The development agenda also includes infrastructure, employment, and basic amenities. Accompanied by Electronics and IT Minister Mr. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Minister of State for Backward Classes Welfare and Disability Empowerment Mr. Narendra Kumar Kashyap, and other representatives, the CM later held a detailed review of law and order and developmental progress in Ghaziabad. He described the meeting as positive and forward-looking.

Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the GDA’s “PAHAL” (Public Access for Housing and Property Allotment Login) portal a fast, transparent, and fully digital single-window system. This portal will offer all GDA services online, allowing allottees to download allocation letters, NOCs, book online slots for property registration, apply for bank loans, and request property transfers all digitally. Under the double-engine government, Yogi Adityanath affirmed that this momentum of growth and transformation in Ghaziabad will continue unabated.
