The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran has recently issued a strong statement denouncing the Zionist regime’s recent acts of aggression against military sites within Iran. The statement categorically labels these attacks as blatant violations of international law and the United Nations Charter, which emphasizes the prohibition against the use of force or threats against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of nations. Iran has expressed deep concern over the escalation of hostility, calling it a dangerous breach of global norms.
In its official message, the Iranian government invoked Article 51 of the UN Charter, which recognizes the inherent right of self-defense in the face of external aggression. Iran firmly asserts that it is both entitled and obligated to respond to any act of military hostility to protect its national security. The statement stressed that any attacks on Iran’s military infrastructure represent a grave threat to the country’s sovereignty and demand a resolute response.
The Ministry reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to defending its security interests using all available means, including material and spiritual resources. While making it clear that it would safeguard its national interests, Iran also emphasized its responsibility towards promoting regional peace and stability. The statement praised the support shown by various peace-loving nations that condemned the Zionist regime’s aggression and expressed disgust over what Iran described as Israel’s warmongering policies.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry further linked the root causes of tension in the region to Israel’s ongoing occupation and military actions. It accused Israel of committing widespread human rights violations, with particular reference to the genocide against the Palestinian people and aggressive campaigns in Lebanon. According to the statement, the United States and several Western countries share responsibility for these actions by providing Israel with extensive military and political support, perpetuating regional instability and insecurity.
The statement appealed to the global community, particularly the member states of the UN, the Genocide Convention, and the Geneva Conventions, to take decisive action against Israel’s actions. Iran emphasized that Israel’s actions violate both international humanitarian law and the principles of the UN Charter, posing a serious threat to international peace and security.
Furthermore, the Iranian government called for immediate international mobilization to halt what it describes as genocide, war crimes, and aggression against Gaza and Lebanon. It reiterated the need for collective action to restrain Israel’s military operations and prevent further escalations. Iran emphasized that the continuation of occupation, illegal military actions, and crimes committed by Israel must not be tolerated by the global community.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry underscored the urgency of addressing the Israeli regime’s acts of aggression to restore stability in the region. It emphasized that regional peace can only be achieved through coordinated international efforts to end Israel’s occupation and military policies. The statement reflected Iran’s firm stance against the Zionist regime’s actions and highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining global peace and security.
