In a bid to enhance institutional performance and raise the quality of social services, the Ministry of Social Affairs recently held an expanded meeting led by Acting Undersecretary Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi. The session brought together directors and supervisors from the Social Welfare and Development Sector to shape a unified vision for improving service efficiency and better addressing the needs of beneficiaries, according to Al-Jarida daily.

Dr. Al-Ajmi emphasized the need to integrate efforts across various departments and supervisory bodies within the sector. He underlined that collaboration and coordination are essential for building a cohesive institutional framework capable of meeting the growing expectations of the public.

He further called for enhanced field and administrative work, urging departments to adopt innovative mechanisms aligned with the state’s development goals. “The Ministry is advancing its modernization efforts by reassessing existing methodologies and fostering stronger partnerships across departments,” he said. “Our goal is to institutionalize our work and deliver a meaningful and lasting social impact.”

The Acting Undersecretary highlighted that the next phase of development would rely heavily on teamwork, field expertise, and the implementation of targeted programs and action plans that prioritize social justice. He added that the Ministry seeks to build a comprehensive service environment one that reflects its commitment to the people and upholds the principle of equal access to support.

Dr. Al-Ajmi also reiterated the Ministry’s full support for social work initiatives, including providing all necessary resources to ensure the success of existing and future programs. This includes training, logistical support, and the integration of digital tools to streamline service delivery. He concluded by affirming that the Ministry’s strategy is deeply rooted in a people-centered approach, reflecting the belief that social care is a collective national responsibility.

By focusing on human dignity, justice, and efficiency, the Ministry hopes to set a new standard for social welfare services in the country. The meeting marks a significant step in the Ministry’s broader modernization agenda, signaling a clear commitment to transformation, innovation, and inclusivity in serving the nation’s most vulnerable populations.
