The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait has officially welcomed the ceasefire agreement reached between the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. This positive development marks a hopeful step toward restoring security and stability in a region that has long been affected by tension and conflict.

In its statement, the Ministry expressed appreciation for the constructive role played by the United States of America and other nations who contributed to mediating and facilitating dialogue between the two nuclear-armed neighbors. The Ministry noted that the dedication and diplomatic efforts of the international community have been instrumental in achieving this breakthrough.

Reaffirming Kuwait’s consistent foreign policy, the Ministry emphasized its unwavering support for dialogue and peaceful diplomatic solutions as the primary means of resolving disputes, both at the regional and international levels. It expressed hope that this agreement would lead to a sustained reduction in hostilities and foster a climate of cooperation and peace in South Asia.

The statement further reiterated Kuwait’s commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at conflict resolution through peaceful means, urging all involved parties to remain committed to the terms of the agreement. The Ministry concluded by expressing its belief that such steps are essential for the progress and prosperity of nations and the well-being of their people. Kuwait remains a firm advocate for peace, stability, and international cooperation in addressing global challenges and fostering enduring harmony among nations.
