In a significant display of national readiness and coordination, Kuwait’s Acting Minister of Defense and Interior, Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Sabah, emphasized the urgent need for enhanced integration among state institutions during crisis scenarios. His remarks came as he observed the concluding stages of the large-scale field exercise “Jabriya 1,” held under his patronage at Abdullah Al-Mubarak Air Base.

The exercise, led by the Kuwaiti Air Force, simulated complex emergency situations including a hijacking and the successful rescue of hostages. It brought together a wide array of national stakeholders, including the Ministry of Interior, the National Guard, the 25th Commando Brigade, the Ministry of Health, Civil Aviation, and Kuwait Airways. Their collaboration demonstrated a high level of professionalism, discipline, and cohesion among teams operating under realistic conditions.

Sheikh Abdullah praised the efforts of all participating entities, highlighting that “Jabriya 1” stands as a successful example of cooperation between military, security, and civilian agencies. He noted that such exercises are critical in raising the level of comprehensive national preparedness and reflect the state’s commitment to continuously developing its defense and security capabilities.

The Minister began his visit with a detailed briefing on the exercise’s phases, objectives, and execution methods. As the exercise unfolded, he observed the synergy between teams, commending their tactical precision and unified efforts. He also prayed for continued peace and stability for Kuwait under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince.

Deputy Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Major General Pilot Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, echoed these sentiments, stating that the exercise exemplifies “the principles of integration, joint teamwork, and effective coordination,” essential for managing emergencies efficiently. He lauded the discipline of all participants, stressing that unified operations are the cornerstone of a secure and prepared nation.

High-level officials from multiple ministries and agencies attended the event, underscoring the importance of cross-sector collaboration. The “Jabriya 1” exercise stands as a testament to Kuwait’s growing capability in crisis management and the nation’s commitment to safeguarding its people and institutions through strategic preparedness and unified national response.
