Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), received a congratulatory cable from Her Highness Shaikha Thajba bint Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa on the 24th anniversary of the establishment of the SCW.

Shaikha Thajba extended her warmest congratulations to Her Royal Highness, expressing her pride in the landmark achievements accomplished by the Supreme Council for Women since its establishment. She praised the visionary leadership of HRH Princess Sabeeka, noting that the Council has become a pioneering institution that continues to advance women’s rights, empower Bahraini women, and enhance their active participation in national development.

She highlighted that the SCW, since its inception, has served as the cornerstone of Bahrain’s comprehensive strategy to promote gender balance and provide equal opportunities for women in all fields. Under the leadership of HRH Princess Sabeeka, the Council has launched numerous initiatives to strengthen women’s presence in decision-making roles, improve their access to education and employment, and support their contributions in political, economic, and social spheres.

Shaikha Thajba also stressed that the 24th anniversary of the SCW is a moment to reflect on the remarkable progress made, while also reaffirming commitment to the future aspirations outlined in Bahrain’s national development plans. She underlined the Council’s success in aligning its goals with the Kingdom’s Economic Vision 2030, ensuring that women remain key partners in shaping Bahrain’s prosperity.

In her message, Shaikha Thajba lauded the continued efforts of HRH Princess Sabeeka in fostering a culture of equality, family stability, and social cohesion. She described the Princess as an inspirational figure whose guidance has not only elevated the status of Bahraini women but also earned international recognition for Bahrain as a model of women’s empowerment in the region.

On this occasion, she extended her best wishes for the Supreme Council for Women to continue achieving further milestones, guided by the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by the dedication of HRH Princess Sabeeka. The anniversary stands as a testimony to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to advancing women’s rights and strengthening their role as equal partners in building the nation’s future.
