His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, recently embarked on a Royal tour of military units in Sarfait, Dhofar Governorate. This significant visit to the Royal Army of Oman (RAO) units highlighted His Majesty’s continued dedication to the country’s armed forces and national defense.
Upon his arrival at Sarfait Camp, His Majesty was welcomed with great respect by Maj. Gen Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman, along with the Commander of the 11th Infantry Brigade and the Commander of the Northern Frontier Regiment. In keeping with military tradition, His Majesty shook hands with officers from various military sites present at the camp, reinforcing the strong bond between the leadership and the armed forces.
During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan was briefed on the operational capabilities of the military units stationed in Sarfait. The briefing included details about the military equipment and technologies at the disposal of the RAO, as well as the critical roles the units play in safeguarding Oman’s borders and maintaining national security. His Majesty expressed keen interest in the preparedness and readiness of the forces.
Furthermore, the Sultan conducted an insightful field tour, inspecting supplies and resources available to the military units. His Majesty’s attention to detail during the tour underscored his commitment to ensuring that Oman’s military personnel are well-equipped to fulfill their duties. This visit reflects His Majesty Sultan Haitham’s ongoing support for Oman’s defense forces, recognizing the importance of maintaining a strong, resilient military to secure the nation’s sovereignty and stability.
