Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a bid to ensure holistic development of the state, held a review meeting on July 28 at the Circuit House auditorium in Varanasi with public representatives from the Azamgarh and Varanasi divisions. During the meeting, he discussed the current conditions of their respective constituencies, public expectations, and development priorities. The objective of the meeting was not only to review various schemes but also to ensure the prioritized development of public utility projects and remote areas.

During the review, the Chief Minister held a constituency-wise discussion on proposed works related to the Public Works Department, Urban Development, and Tourism. He directed officials to coordinate with public representatives to determine the priority of proposed projects. He instructed that estimates for these projects should be prepared without delay, all formalities completed promptly, and the work initiated immediately. Roads, bridges, and small bridges that are most urgently needed should be prioritized.

Under this, roads connecting industrial areas, block headquarters, and religious tourism sites should be given precedence. After these, other works should be completed in a phased manner. The Chief Minister also directed that proposals from public representatives be included in the works of the Urban Development Department. Giving special emphasis to tourism development in Azamgarh and Varanasi divisions, he instructed that projects such as roads to block headquarters, inter-connectivity roads, access roads to religious sites, ROB bypasses, flyovers, bridges, small bridges, ODR/MDR roads, black spot improvements, and pontoon bridges should be taken up on a priority basis.

These projects will not only serve public needs but also boost the local economy. He emphasized that the government’s intent is to bring every public utility and development-oriented scheme into reality. For this, accountability of the concerned individuals will be ensured. He also stated that the proposed works will be completed within the stipulated timeframe and with high quality.

The meeting was attended by Labour and Employment Minister Mr. Anil Rajbhar, Panchayati Raj Minister Mr. Om Prakash Rajbhar, Jails Minister Mr. Dara Singh Chauhan, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Transport Mr. Dayashankar Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Stamp, Court Fees and Registration Mr. Ravindra Jaiswal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH Dr. Dayashankar Mishra ‘Dayalu’, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Sports and Youth Welfare Mr. Girish Chandra Yadav, Minister of State for Minority Welfare Mr. Danish Azad Ansari, along with Members of the Legislative Council and MLAs from the Varanasi and Azamgarh divisions.
