The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), Uttar Pradesh unit, held a major Election Conclave in Lucknow on May 7, bringing together party leaders, office bearers, and workers from different districts of the state to discuss preparations for the upcoming elections. The meeting, organized at Hotel Awadh Court, focused on strengthening the party at the grassroots level and planning strategies to expand its political presence in Uttar Pradesh. The conclave was chaired by State President Nizamuddin Khan, who addressed the gathering at the beginning of the programme.

In his speech, he stressed the importance of unity within the organization and urged workers to remain disciplined and active in their respective areas. He highlighted that booth-level preparation and direct interaction with the public would play a key role in the party’s future electoral performance. He also encouraged party cadres to work among weaker and marginalized sections of society and raise issues related to their rights and welfare.

The programme’s Chief Guest, National President M. K. Faizy, delivered a detailed address on the current political climate in the country and the challenges facing democratic institutions. Referring to the forthcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, he spoke about the party’s roadmap and preparations for the electoral battle ahead. He emphasized the need for organized campaigning, better coordination among workers, and increased engagement with voters at the local level.

Faizy stated that SDPI aims to protect constitutional values and promote social justice, equality, and democratic principles. He said the party is committed to addressing public concerns and presenting itself as a credible political alternative. He urged workers to stay connected with ground realities and actively participate in resolving people’s issues. National Vice President Muhammad Shafi, who attended the conclave as Guest of Honour, underlined the importance of political awareness and continuous public outreach.

He advised party workers to focus on local issues affecting ordinary citizens and build stronger trust among voters through regular interaction and community engagement. Several senior leaders also addressed the gathering during different sessions of the conclave. National Treasurer and Uttar Pradesh In-charge Abdul Sattar, National Working Committee Member Abdul Mueed, and Young Democrats National Convener Advocate Renu Devi Singh discussed topics related to organizational growth, resource management, and election readiness.

They called for better communication and coordination between district, assembly, and booth-level units to ensure effective functioning of the party machinery. Delegates from branch, assembly, and district committees actively participated in the discussions. Different sessions of the conclave focused on booth management, voter contact campaigns, media outreach, and plans to strengthen the organization across Central Uttar Pradesh. The event concluded with party leaders and workers collectively reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the organization and working towards improved electoral performance in the upcoming elections while continuing to uphold democratic and constitutional values.

The programme was conducted by State General Secretary Muhammad Nadeem. The welcome address was delivered by State Vice President Haroon Sahil, while the vote of thanks was presented by State Secretary Furqan Ahmad. State Executive Members Sahibe Alam, Mohammad Riyaz, and Dilshad Ahmad were also present at the programme along with several party workers and delegates from across the state.
