Kuwait’s Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, has outlined a series of transformative initiatives aimed at revitalizing the nation’s tourism and entertainment sectors. In a recent meeting with ministry leaders, Al-Mutairi announced that these projects, set to be unveiled in mid-September, align with Kuwait Vision 2035, which seeks to diversify the economy and elevate the country’s cultural and global standing.
A flagship initiative, the “Leadership by Will” national project, will celebrate the resilience and ambition of the Kuwaiti people. This initiative aims to showcase their determination to achieve excellence across various fields while honoring the legacy of past generations and their contributions to nation-building. By emphasizing Kuwait’s rich heritage and forward-looking vision, the project is expected to inspire pride and foster unity among citizens.
In parallel, the Ministry of Information is preparing to launch a revamped identity for its news channel, accompanied by a redesigned programming schedule, in early October. This overhaul reflects a commitment to enhancing media professionalism and content quality to meet global standards. The updated news channel will serve as a dynamic platform to communicate Kuwait’s progress and aspirations to both domestic and international audiences.
A cornerstone of the tourism strategy is the Visit Kuwait platform, designed to position tourism as a key driver of the national economy. The platform will promote cultural and entertainment activities, showcasing Kuwait’s unique attractions, from historical landmarks to modern entertainment hubs. A robust marketing strategy, leveraging digital platforms and social media, will amplify Kuwait’s appeal as a must-visit destination. The ministry is also focusing on greater coordination with stakeholders to ensure the platform’s success.
Recognizing the private sector’s critical role, Al-Mutairi emphasized partnerships to modernize infrastructure and enhance media, artistic, and technical production. These collaborations will create opportunities for Kuwaiti youth, empowering them to excel in creative industries and contribute to the nation’s cultural landscape.
These initiatives underscore Kuwait’s commitment to harnessing media and tourism for comprehensive development. By aligning with Kuwait Vision 2035, the ministry aims to strengthen the nation’s cultural identity, boost economic growth, and position Kuwait as a vibrant hub for tourism and entertainment on the global stage.
