Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav has reaffirmed his commitment towards empowering differently-abled persons, promising that his party will stand shoulder to shoulder with them in their journey of courage and positivity. Speaking at an event organized at the Samajwadi Party headquarters, Yadav distributed certificates to differently-abled individuals and interacted warmly with them, taking photographs and extending words of encouragement.
Akhilesh Yadav said, “To boost the morale of differently-abled persons, we stand with them. We have learned lessons of positivity and courage in life from them. If the Samajwadi Party forms the government, we will establish a special committee for them, which will work meaningfully to enhance their abilities.” His remarks were met with appreciation by the attendees, many of whom expressed optimism that such steps could bring tangible changes in their lives.

The event was not just ceremonial but also symbolic of the SP’s intent to integrate the differently-abled community into the mainstream. By honoring their determination and resilience, Yadav highlighted the importance of recognizing their contributions to society. He noted that the differently-abled are not to be viewed with sympathy but with respect, as they continue to inspire others with their unshaken willpower and determination.
The proposed special committee, he explained, would focus on creating opportunities in education, employment, and skill development. It would also ensure that government policies are designed to meet their unique needs, ranging from accessibility in public spaces to financial support for their entrepreneurial initiatives. “This committee will not be a mere formality,” Yadav assured, “but a genuine platform to strengthen their capabilities and ensure their rightful place in society.”
Political observers see this initiative as part of Akhilesh Yadav’s broader agenda to create a more inclusive Uttar Pradesh, where no section of society feels left behind. By giving special attention to the differently-abled, the SP Chief is positioning his party as one that prioritizes social justice, equality, and dignity for all.
The gathering ended on a positive note, with differently-abled participants expressing gratitude for the recognition and hope for better opportunities under a Samajwadi Party-led government. Yadav’s gesture of mingling with them, clicking photographs, and offering personal encouragement was seen as a sign of genuine empathy, reinforcing his image as a leader sensitive to the needs of marginalized groups.
