The iconic garden fountain at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center has officially resumed operations, marking a renewed chapter in Kuwait’s cultural and tourism landscape. The reopening ceremony was attended by Asimah Governor Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Sabah and Undersecretary of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Abdulaziz Meshal Al-Sabah, highlighting the importance of the landmark as a centerpiece of national pride and public entertainment.
Speaking during the inauguration, Sheikh Abdullah described the fountain as an important cultural and recreational destination that reflects Kuwait’s commitment to developing strategic projects aimed at enriching the country’s tourism and artistic identity. He emphasized that such initiatives contribute to enhancing the quality of life while strengthening Kuwait’s reputation as a regional hub for culture and creativity.

The newly upgraded fountain blends advanced engineering with artistic expression, offering visitors a captivating visual experience. Spectators can enjoy synchronized dancing water performances choreographed to national, Arabic, and international musical compositions. The experience is further enhanced by vibrant laser light displays that illuminate the surrounding area, creating a lively atmosphere for families and tourists alike. The inaugural performance was launched on Thursday evening, officially beginning the fountain’s permanent daily operating schedule.
From Sunday to Wednesday, the attraction will operate between 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM. On weekends, from Thursday to Saturday, visitors can enjoy two separate sessions, an afternoon show from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and an evening performance from 6:00 PM until 11:00 PM. The reopening of the fountain reinforces Kuwait’s broader vision of combining entertainment, culture, and public spaces to create memorable experiences for residents and visitors while celebrating the nation’s artistic and architectural achievements.
