Kuwait and the United States have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening their long-standing partnership, as senior officials from both countries met to discuss ways to expand cooperation and address key regional developments. During an official visit to Kuwait, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio held talks with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
According to a statement issued by Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new avenues of collaboration that serve the interests of both friendly nations. The discussions highlighted the enduring strategic partnership between Kuwait and the United States, a relationship built over decades of close political, economic, and security cooperation.
This year holds particular significance for both countries as they commemorate two important milestones, the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 35th anniversary of Kuwait’s liberation following the Iraqi invasion in 1990.
