The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, represented by the Administration and Human Resources Authority, announced the opening of registration for voluntary military service for women across a wide range of educational backgrounds. The initiative reflects the Ministry of Defence’s continued efforts to expand opportunities for women to serve in the country’s armed forces and contribute to national security.
According to a press statement issued on Sunday, eligible applicants include women holding university degrees, diplomas, high school certificates, equivalent qualifications, and even educational levels below the eleventh grade. The broad eligibility criteria are intended to encourage greater participation from women with diverse academic and professional backgrounds.
The Army stated that all applications must be submitted electronically through the Ministry of Defence’s official recruitment portal managed by the Volunteer Recruitment Branch. Interested candidates can complete the registration process by visiting the designated website at https://vc.kuwaitarmy.gov.kw/.
The online registration period will commence on Monday and remain open until July 13, giving applicants a limited window to submit their applications and complete the required procedures.
The announcement marks another step in Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to strengthen women’s participation in military and public service roles. In recent years, the country has introduced initiatives aimed at integrating women into various branches of the armed forces, recognizing their contributions in both military and administrative capacities.
Officials emphasized the importance of following the application instructions provided on the recruitment portal to ensure successful registration. Applicants are expected to meet the eligibility requirements and complete all necessary documentation within the specified timeframe.
The voluntary recruitment campaign is expected to attract significant interest from women seeking to serve their country while pursuing careers in the defence sector. Further details regarding selection procedures, training programmes, and appointment schedules are expected to be announced by the Ministry of Defence following the conclusion of the registration period.
