Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on May 18 distributed appointment letters to 932 newly selected candidates under the Uttar Pradesh Combined State/Senior Subordinate Services Examination-2024, describing transparent recruitment and hard work as the true drivers of progress and good governance. Addressing the appointment letter distribution ceremony at the Lok Bhavan auditorium in Lucknow, the Chief Minister said that only those selected honestly and through merit can take the state towards development and prosperity.

He said “when hard work combines with an honest system, the result is progress,” he remarked, congratulating the newly appointed officers and their families. The recruitment process, conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, saw selections across 21 departments for key administrative and enforcement posts, including Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Tax), Block Development Officer, Naib Tehsildar, and Commercial Tax Officer. The Chief Minister praised the Commission for completing the process with transparency and integrity.

Highlighting the transformation of Uttar Pradesh over the past nine years, Yogi Adityanath said the state had emerged from the tag of a “BIMARU” state to become one of the country’s leading economic growth engines. He noted that before 2017, recruitment processes were often marred by corruption, recommendations, and unfair practices, but today’s youth are witnessing a transparent and cheating-free examination system. The Chief Minister said Uttar Pradesh’s young population, fertile land, strong MSME base, and natural resources have helped the state become a major contributor to India’s economy.

He added that over 900,000 youths have received government jobs during the present administration, reflecting the benefits of stable and transparent governance. Expressing confidence in the newly selected officers, Yogi Adityanath said they would play an important role in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Developed India” by strengthening governance at the grassroots level. He urged them to maintain honesty, transparency, and dedication throughout their careers, adding that the first ten years of service would shape the foundation of their professional lives.

Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak also addressed the gathering, praising the state’s rapid progress in infrastructure, healthcare, electricity supply, and employment generation under the current leadership. Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said the transparent recruitment process reflected the government’s commitment to merit-based opportunities for the youth of the state.
