Samajwadi Party national president and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has launched a sharp attack on the BJP government, alleging that it is engaging in unconstitutional and illegal actions. He claimed the ruling party is driven by a spirit of revenge against its political opponents and is committing injustice and atrocities against them. By misusing constitutional institutions, the BJP is killing democracy, Yadav said.
Fear of losing power has pushed the party beyond all limits of fairness and cruelty, he added, asserting that the BJP continuously perpetrates injustice and does not respect the Constitution or the law. Yadav described the BJP as a party with a negative mindset, rooted in falsehood and dishonesty. He alleged that it seeks to cling to power through theft and deceit, and cannot win elections without resorting to such practices. The ground has already slipped from under the BJP’s feet, he claimed.
Its leaders are misleading the public with lies, while inflation, unemployment and corruption have reached extreme levels under the present government. Loot is rampant in every department and every sphere of work, leaving the people distressed, Yadav said. He further charged that the BJP’s exploitative policies have troubled farmers, students, youth, traders and women alike. Public anger against the party is intense, and the people of Uttar Pradesh are ready to remove it from power.
The process of change has already begun in the state, Yadav noted, pointing to the BJP’s double defeat in the Legislative Council elections in the Prime Minister’s own constituency. The people of Uttar Pradesh are eagerly awaiting the Assembly elections. The day the election is announced, the BJP will be defeated, he predicted, and the public will punish the party for its actions, wiping it out permanently. Yadav asserted that once the Samajwadi Party forms the government, a regime of social justice will be established and the rule of injustice will end.
