At the Samajwadi Party’s state headquarters in Lucknow, party chief and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today felicitated High School and Intermediate toppers by gifting them laptops, encouraging them to keep moving forward and make good use of their knowledge. He also appreciated the efforts of their teachers and families, saying their support played a big role in the students’ success. Addressing the gathering, Akhilesh Yadav recalled that during Netaji’s time, the Kanya Vidya Dhan scheme was launched to support girls’ education with financial assistance of ₹30,000.

He added that if his party forms the government in 2027, it will ensure free education from KG to PG. Among those honored was Unjila Fatima from Malihabad, who scored 97% in the ISC Class 12 exams. Another standout student, Sara Moin from Christ Church College, Lucknow, received loud applause as she was awarded a laptop for securing 98.75%. Despite being hearing and speech impaired and also visually challenged, Sara excelled in her studies with determination and strong support from her parents. Her teacher was also recognized on the occasion.
Former MP Uday Pratap Singh highlighted that true success in life is not just about achievements, but about being useful to others. He also emphasized the important role teachers play in shaping values and reiterated that the Samajwadi Party has always given priority to education. With the support of MLA Atul Pradhan from Sardhana (Meerut), laptops were also distributed to several toppers from Meerut district, including 13 High School and 12 Intermediate students.
In addition, Ananya Yadav from Lucknow was honored for scoring a perfect 100 in Political Science, while Ankita Yadav from Sitapur was recognized for securing the fifth rank in the state. The event also featured a poetry recitation by Nikita, motivational words from Ali Sahab, and a heartfelt expression of gratitude from Sara’s teacher. Several senior party leaders and public representatives were present at the event, making it a proud and encouraging moment for the students and their families.
