Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has announced that, if his party forms the government in Uttar Pradesh in 2027, it will guarantee government jobs and make recruitment transparent. He was speaking at the “PDA Sankalp – Teacher-Candidate Dialogue” at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Park in Gomti Nagar, where students, parents and job aspirants had gathered in large numbers. Yadav said an SP government would publish an annual recruitment-exam calendar, take strong steps to stop paper leaks, and punish those found guilty.

He also promised better training for teachers, an end to outsourcing “for all time,” and permanent jobs in its place. “No economy can grow without jobs and employment,” he said, adding that there is currently no coordination between education and employment. On paper leaks, he alleged that exams are not leaked by accident but “made to leak.” He also said universities have been turned into centres of one ideology, where groups have formed, and that they will need reform.

Yadav reminded the audience that the park was built under Mulayam Singh Yadav, who had trees relocated rather than felled during construction. He praised the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, built during his own government, saying a toll is charged only at the final end. Taking a swipe at the BJP, he said the Ganga Expressway built under its rule has “fish swimming” on it, and that Gorakhpur did not become Spain nor Varanasi Kyoto. He also cited the HCL campus and IT hub in Lucknow, and said laptops distributed under SP rule are still working.

Yadav honoured several coaching-institute founders, including Neetu Singh of KD Campus, Ankit Chaudhary of TWA, Nirbhay Kumar of Air Gurukul and Abhinav Sharma of Abhinav Maths. Former chief secretary Alok Ranjan was also present. Singh recalled the laptop scheme from 13 years ago and stressed the right to employment.
Chaudhary called for fixed timelines from results to appointment, a student grievance portal and waiting lists. Kumar said young people must fight for their own rights and stressed moral development. Sharma said the youth can change the country. The speakers said a “new wind of change” is blowing in Uttar Pradesh and that people are looking to Yadav. They criticised the BJP government over rising crime and the state of education, and said only an SP government would fulfil young people’s aspirations for livelihood, dignity and social justice.
