The Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA) has officially commenced its operational plan for the 2026 Hajj season, scheduling 63 flights to carry approximately 8,400 pilgrims and administrative staff from Kuwait to Saudi Arabia. The dedicated flights will depart from Terminal 4 (T4) at Kuwait International Airport, with operations running from today, May 21, through May 23. Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Head of the Public Authority for Civil Aviation, confirmed in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that all operational and logistical arrangements have been finalized.

The authority has worked in close coordination with the Ministries of Interior and Islamic Affairs, the General Administration of Customs, Kuwaiti Hajj missions, airlines, and ground service providers to guarantee seamless travel for pilgrims. Sheikh Hamoud emphasized that the outbound flights are part of a well-structured plan designed to ensure comfort and efficiency. Return flights for Kuwaiti pilgrims are scheduled to operate between May 30 and May 31, in line with the approved timetable and in full coordination with Saudi authorities and all supporting entities.

To facilitate smooth airport procedures, the authority has urged pilgrims to strictly adhere to travel guidelines. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure, carry only one piece of luggage as per airline regulations, and comply with all instructions issued by airlines and ground staff. “All preparations have been completed to provide the highest level of service to our pilgrims,” Sheikh Hamoud stated.

He prayed for the pilgrims’ safety during their sacred journey and expressed hope that their Hajj rituals would be accepted by Allah, wishing them a blessed pilgrimage and a safe return to their families. This coordinated national effort reflects Kuwait’s commitment to supporting its citizens in fulfilling one of the pillars of Islam with dignity, security, and efficiency. Authorities continue to monitor operations closely to address any last-minute needs and ensure the success of the entire Hajj transportation campaign.
