Akhilesh Yadav, the national president of the Samajwadi Party, launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying that the BJP is “both biased and betraying the people.” He alleged that the BJP is weakening the reservation system and attacking the concept of social justice. Speaking at a program held at the Samajwadi Party headquarters, Akhilesh Yadav released a document based on data and facts related to the “Loot of PDA” and claimed that the rights of deprived sections of society are continuously being taken away under the BJP government.
BIAS DESTROYS RIGHTS, RESERVATION ENSURES EQUALITY : Akhilesh Yadav said that if people have to approach the courts for every right and justice, it reflects the biased mindset of the government. He stated that bias not only weakens democracy but also destroys social trust. According to him, reservation is not just a system but the biggest tool for establishing social equality. “The proper use of a bulldozer should be to level land, not to increase inequality in society,” he said.
“This is a fight between dominance and the deprived” : The Samajwadi Party chief accused the BJP of practicing “politics of dominance” and said that the Samajwadi Party is fighting for the rights of the deprived, backward classes, Dalits, and minorities. He claimed that before 2014, the country was governed in line with the spirit of the Constitution drafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, but circumstances changed afterward. Akhilesh Yadav alleged that the BJP wants to eliminate reservation to maintain social dominance, but the Samajwadi Party would never allow that to happen. Dominance will lose, and the deprived society will win, he declared.
CRITICISM OVER JUDICIARY AND DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTIONS : Akhilesh Yadav also accused the BJP of trying to influence democratic institutions, including the judiciary. He said reservation has played a crucial role in ending centuries-old social injustice and that the deprived sections of society would take this struggle to a decisive stage.
CASTE CENSUS WITHIN 90 DAYS OF COMING TO POWER : Making a major announcement regarding the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Akhilesh Yadav said that if the Samajwadi Party comes to power, it will conduct a caste census within 90 days. He also promised to complete the recruitment process for 69,000 teachers. He said providing employment opportunities and social justice to the youth would remain the party’s top priority.
ATTACK ON YOGI GOVERNMENT’S ECONOMIC POLICIES : Targeting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Akhilesh Yadav said that both the state and national economies are continuously weakening, while the government only keeps repeating the slogan of a “trillion-dollar economy.” He accused the government of promoting outsourcing instead of providing permanent jobs, making the future of young people insecure. The government is neither allowing people to earn money nor spend it, he remarked.
CALL TO STRENGTHEN ORGANIZATION AT BOOTH LEVEL : Addressing party workers, Akhilesh Yadav said that if the Samajwadi Party gains even five new votes at every booth, the BJP can be removed from power. He urged workers to unite the PDA community, backward classes, Dalits, and minorities, and take the party’s policies to every village. Through his speech, Akhilesh Yadav made serious allegations against the BJP government regarding reservation, social justice, democratic institutions, and the economy. With promises such as a caste census and the completion of the 69,000 teacher recruitment process, he signalled that social justice and PDA politics would remain central to the Samajwadi Party’s strategy for the 2027 Assembly elections.
