Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh: Samajwadi Party National President and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) while addressing a large public gathering after inaugurating Urmila Garden at Soron Gate in Kasganj. The event witnessed the presence of several senior party leaders and supporters. He asserted that the Samajwadi Party has consistently worked for the development of Kasganj and the surrounding region.
Highlighting the achievements of his government, he pointed to the establishment of a major power plant in Etah, road infrastructure projects, and the launch of the 108 ambulance service, which he described as a landmark initiative for public healthcare. He accused the BJP government of weakening essential public services, including ambulance and healthcare facilities, claiming that patients are struggling to access treatment, doctors, and medicines.
Taking aim at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Akhilesh Yadav rejected claims that the region lacked an identity before 2017. He argued that it was socialist governments that laid the foundation for Uttar Pradesh’s development and accused the BJP of attempting to erase that legacy. The former Chief Minister also raised concerns over inflation, unemployment, and the condition of farmers. He alleged that promises made to farmers, including doubling their income and ensuring better market access, remain unfulfilled.
According to Akhilesh Yadav, the failure to support agriculture has adversely affected rural prosperity across the state. Addressing issues affecting youth, he criticized repeated examination paper leaks and recruitment irregularities, saying they have jeopardized the future of millions of students. Referring to controversies surrounding competitive examinations, he accused the government of failing to protect the aspirations of young Indians.
Akhilesh Yadav further alleged that the BJP is pursuing divisive politics and attempting to weaken constitutional institutions. He claimed that reservation policies have been undermined and that the rights of backward, Dalit, and minority communities have been adversely affected. He also urged party workers and voters to remain vigilant regarding electoral rolls, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding every vote.
Akhilesh Yadav expressed confidence that the people of Uttar Pradesh are ready for political change. Declaring that the Samajwadi Party is preparing for a strong comeback, he predicted that the party would form the government in the state in 2027. His remarks were greeted with enthusiastic support from party workers and supporters gathered at the event.
