The Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity has taken an exciting step toward nurturing the next generation of innovators by launching a robotics challenge that promises both learning and global opportunity. Designed for young minds eager to explore technology, the “ROBOMission” competition, part of the World Robot Olympiad, is set to take place on May 21, bringing together some of Kuwait’s brightest students.

Organized in collaboration with the local representative of the global event, the center is not just hosting a competition, it’s building a platform where creativity meets real-world problem-solving. The initiative reflects a growing emphasis on equipping students with essential skills in robotics, programming, and engineering, all aligned with international standards. It’s about preparing students not just for contests, but for a future shaped by innovation.

Registration is open until May 7, and the opportunity is structured to ensure inclusivity. With 20 seats allocated for each educational level, primary, intermediate, and secondary, the competition welcomes a wide range of participants, giving many students a fair chance to showcase their potential. What sets this initiative apart is the preparation phase. From May 10 to 20, participants will undergo intensive, hands-on training sessions. These are designed to strengthen practical skills, encourage teamwork, and build confidence before the big day. It’s not just about competing, it’s about learning by doing.

The journey doesn’t end with the local event. The top seven winners will move on to final qualifiers, where Kuwait’s official teams for regional rounds will be selected. From there, the path leads to the global stage, the WRO 2026 Finals in San Juan, Puerto Rico, scheduled from December 8 to 10. For many students, this is more than a competition, it’s a gateway to international exposure and a chance to turn passion into achievement. Interested students are encouraged to register through official channels or via the center’s Instagram page, taking their first step into the world of robotics and innovation.
