Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has intensified his criticism of the BJP-led governments at both the Centre and in Uttar Pradesh, accusing them of pushing the country and the state into an economic and administrative crisis. Addressing party workers and leaders from different districts at the Samajwadi Party state headquarters in Lucknow, Akhilesh Yadav said that rising inflation, unemployment, and poor governance have severely affected the lives of ordinary citizens.

According to Akhilesh Yadav, the BJP government’s economic policies have failed to provide relief to the public. He pointed to the continuous rise in the prices of essential commodities, diesel, and other fuels, arguing that increasing costs have placed an additional burden on households and businesses. He also criticized the state government’s decision to raise electricity charges and alleged that the installation of smart meters has become a means of extracting more money from consumers.

The former Chief Minister expressed concern over the difficulties faced by farmers, particularly regarding the availability of urea and other fertilizers. He claimed that the government had failed to prepare adequately for agricultural needs, leaving farmers uncertain at a crucial time. He also highlighted the issue of unemployment, saying that young people continue to struggle in their search for jobs and meaningful opportunities.

Akhilesh Yadav alleged that the BJP has disappointed every section of society and accused it of neglecting key sectors such as education, healthcare, law and order, and power supply. He further claimed that development projects across the state have stalled, while corruption and misuse of public funds have increased.

Looking ahead to the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Akhilesh Yadav urged party workers to remain united and work with the same determination that helped the Samajwadi Party achieve success in the Lok Sabha elections. He argued that removing the BJP from power is essential for restoring development and improving public services. Describing voting as the strongest weapon in a democracy, he called upon citizens to use their votes to bring political change.

The Samajwadi Party leader also accused the BJP of pursuing divisive politics and targeting the PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) social coalition. He said that people have begun to understand what he described as the BJP’s political strategies and predicted that voters would reject its rule in 2027.

Presenting his party’s vision, Akhilesh Yadav said that a future Samajwadi government would prioritize farmers, women, students, and youth. Among the promises he highlighted were timely sugarcane payments, assistance for women, and free education for girls from kindergarten to postgraduate studies, along with renewed emphasis on infrastructure and development across Uttar Pradesh.
